Balance Lens Filter

Balance Lens Filter
Natural light photographers…?

Natural light photographers… can you tell me the best lens, filter to use outdoors? I’m looking at the Tamron 28-75mm f/2.8 lens, is that a good one?? And I’ve been taking photos outside and (it’s cold) my subject’s nose and cheeks are red in most photos. I’ve tried playing around with the white balance and photoshop, but I just can’t get her face to look perfect! Any sugestions?

Also, can you give me your opinion on this photo? It’s not as good as I want it to be, but I’m still learning natural light photography…

Thanks!

If you are taking pictures of kids out in the cold then they will always have red cheeks and noses.
Playing with the WB to cure this will not work and you should just leave it.

That shot is not bad, the face (eyes) don’t look sharp though.
Rule 1. always focus on the eyes.
