Camera Case Pentax
Pentax KX shake reduction is not great?

I just got the 2nd Amazon Pentax KX (first one lens missing some coatings). I have a terrible feeling that the shake reduction does not work properly in this case. Is it normal to see blurry yet (because of the movement by pressing the button shutter) with a 300mm lens (zoom in full and correct approach)? I can get sharp images if I have my hands very still, but I did not want that in the case of which I had just returned. I'm not violently flinging the camera to take these pictures. I see a difference between when the image stabilizer is switched and off, however, I thought I had just returned better than the stabilization of which I have now. In short: How well can stabilize image image stabilizer in 55 mm? 300 mm? I was supposed to be able to take clear pictures of a moving vehicle with image stabilization? FYI: this is my first Digital Slr and the first camera with image stabilization.

Yes, it is normal to see some shake when the camera is not set correctly. SR can only do so much. If you have shaky hands, no amount of anti-vibration characteristics can help. Much more of a vehicle movement. You are asking too much of the technology.
