Pocket Wizard flash does not trigger the shoe on the Nikon D80?

I have 3 Pocket Wizard Plus II transceivers. One is in) hot shoe of my camera (Nikon D80, and the other two are in each of my two lights. When I test the transceiver in-camera trigger lights, but every time I go to take a picture, my camera's internal flash still occurs, and each time you press down to actually take the picture, my lights do not flash. HELP! How I can get my camera to recognize the receiver is in the shoe so that 1) the internal flash will stop to appear and 2) my lights blink?!

Such may not need to tell you that you have to be in manual mode, but just in case – make sure you are in manual mode (M). From there, you can turn off the flash pressing the flash button (the small as the beam) and turning the knob at the back of the camera until you see the beam in a circle with a slash through it on the LCD screen with the shutter button. All this is in the manual, pages 40-41. After disabling the pop-up flash, just make sure your transceiver PW sits to the back and snug in the shoe, and must fire without problems.
