How I can calibrate my Canon Xsi Camera Lens?

I have a Canon XSI with 18-55mm kit. Every time I take a picture, is a bit blurry. I tried to use in different lighting with different settings, etc, nothing works. I think maybe the lens needs to be calibrated. How I can do this? Yes IS light, and the only way I shoot in fully manual. I'll try to change the focus and measurement to see what happens.

Have you tried using central AF point only? This is often more accurate than multi-point AF, because you know exactly where the focus is … and multi AF, the camera not always focus on the subject you want. You may not use in basic mode, however … so, try to use P (Program AE) or Av (aperture priority) or Tv (Shutter Priority). Also, if you're shooting moving objects, it is best to change the AF mode AI Servo AF AI Focus AF or not … One-Shot AF. All things above is clearly explained in the instruction manual … ps it's on you, right?
