Canon Lens Filter
What type of filter lens can be used to offset the sodium vapor lights?

I live in Manhattan and I would like to photograph night, but can not seem to pass the orange-ish cast of the city of lights. The only answers I can find are "fix it in Photoshop" or "You almost can not compensate with a filter." Has anyone had any experience (hopefully success) with this. If relevant I can use a Digital Slr Canon. Thank you.

Sodium vapor lamps is perhaps one of the lighting fixtures more difficult to filter out before the color correction Photoshop and the god awful take affect its image is the post-process that is almost impossible. I found a great filter that helps though: http://www.nezumi.demon.co.uk/nonad / Nonad.htm use that filter on the set and realize that the color correction in the subsequent process will produce better color reproduction. White Balance by alone can not wait to make amends, but it does help. Sodium vapor lamps are extremely hard to shoot with lights ..
