Another issue Camera – Grey test card IE, how to act?

Again I ask you a quesion for a friend of mine in White and Black Film Photo II class. This time we were trying to identify the best method for a gray card test IE, she is wearing a Minolta Maxxum 5 (50mm lens) Thanks again for all your help! Regards

It depends on why you are conducting the test. Regular use is to find correct exposure for the camera and film you are using. ISO readings are general and the best way to identify the appropriate ISO standard for film is use and development of the film is to make this test. Waaay back in the day when I was in college film on the sheets and expose half a sheet of film to a gray card and then developed. When the neg with the smallest difference between the non-exposed gray card and then developed would use that as our standard ISO ISO for that film. I shot Plus-X (ISO 125) ISO 200 and developed for about 1.1% more. Because your friend is using 35 mm which makes this type of test a little harder to do. Hope this helps somehow.
