Polarizing filters help choosing?

I am looking to buy a polarizing filter for my Nikon D3000 …. I've seen some (Hoya is the brand I was thinking) with different words in the title … specify some digital, some of CPL, etc … I have to look at the title? Thanks!

It need is a circular polarizer. It will not work well with linear focusing mechanism of the camera / light meter. It is often abbreviated as CPL. Some vendors or manufacturers also call them "digital" to avoid fancy words, so that public can have an idea, which works with Digital Cameras. So that in most cases when digital dial, which basically means circular. it should pass as well. Another thing So you can find that is coated manifold. That means it has multiple layers (usually two, so you can say instead of dual layer) to protect it from flames and the general deterioration of the image quality and improve contrast. LEM.
