What are your feelings about using cheap, off brand Dane-Elec 2GB SD cards in your Canon Dslr Camera?

Frankly I would be leary of any memory card that didnt state the write speed up front. If the write speed wont keep up with your Canon dSLR then it would be a pain to work around.

I once bought a 2 pack of generic 2-gig cards from a reputable national chain. When I inserted each card into the card reader it showed less than a gig each. After that, I only use Lexar cards. I would feel safe with Kingston and Sandisk cards as well. But it’s just my personal prefrence. The generic cards were made by Sandisk, so my view of them dropped quite a bit.
