Is the opening in all Nikon lens actuator controlled mechnical?

Hi all: I bought a cheap Extension Tube Nikon Macro and my goal is a Nikon G (28-80mm 3.5-5). Tube is only a simple connection of the lens with the body and offers no control of the opening. However, the opening of this lens actuator is controlled by a mechanical device. If I use the tube, I'll have no control of the opening at all and to be set at the highest f-stop. This will result in a very dark visor and I can hardly see anything. Is there a Nikon lens opening is controlled by an electrical signal? thx

Probably is an objective situation of the lens. That said, what you are trying to make using a wand, the camera will default to manual mode and auto opening is not applicable. Apeture control at that point is manual. Approach with the goal wide open and then stop until the proper f / stop (be sure to use Bellows comp.) It is very similar to using an old view camera.
