Hour Nimh Rechargeable
What kind of batteries should be used with a Digital Camera?

I'm looking at Digital Cameras. No one know what I want yet. But There are many different batteries out there. I need a battery to run over about 4 hours as a digital camera. Perhaps 300 to 500 photos or more is well. I mean ill buy one extra. Not that NiMH batteries. But I heard that they lose about 40% of its load. There is the lithium or lithium ion. I know alkaline do not last long. There are digital cameras with thin thin battery back, or plain and recharageble AA batteries. I was thinking maybe get a camera that uses AA. So you can get both refillable and plain. In case you can not load and you need a replacement as soon as you can go buy a AA battery, but I do not know. I was wondering if anyone has an idea of what type of battery that should look at when searching a digital camera. Thanks in advance. I do not know. but I get AA / AA or ion recharageable li or whatever. I do not know what is best.

This is actually very easy to answer. If the camera comes with its own battery (not standard AA or AAA size) then just use that and select the camera on the basis of all their features, including battery life. On the other hand, if the camera take AA or AAA batteries, best to get are either rechargeable NiMH batteries, lithium or disposable batteries. (You can not Li-Ion AA or AAA).
