The vehicle has the same architecture with the 2009 Saab 9-4 crossover, which is equipped with top of the line of the Saab timing belt and replaces the larger 9-7x.

The Caddy and Saab are on a platform of thwarting the engines, along with some part-sharing with the Epsilon – like the Chevy Malibu – platform. The design uses familiar elements of Caddy and vertical front and rear lighting, the center crease and side surfaces of pure. The hood and tailgate, however, are more curved than in other company vehicles. Back over the tops of the front fenders are the headlights, and the gate wraps around the sides of the vehicle to meet a raked D-pillar. A fold strong, straight increase in the flanks gives an impression of being a wedge.

The new crossover includes stitched surfaces, soft to the touch for the entire board and door trim as the second-generation CTS.
