Outdoor Case Canon
What should I buy? " Canon PS A640 or A710 IS Canon PS?

Hello all probably read internet forums (ie dpreview …) And I learn a lot on these two cameras, but do not really know how effective the image stablizer? and the sound of the highest MP CCD sensor and, until now A640 prefer, I like the rotating LCD and the firing rate in a second. im the next step is to think of the optical zoom, which is 640 4x and 6x in the year 710. im im study of books, but novice to take professional photos, I know these are not professional (I have an old Canon AE-1 Professional), but for the case study and make a lot photo I wanted a camera that has manual features and good quality. misuse for photos for family and outdoor photos. Please help me as soon as possible;) many thanks: D

Here's the specs, side by side: http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/compare_post.asp?method=sidebyside&cameras=canon_a640% 2Ccanon_a710is & show = all A fix for the 640: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/a640_pg7.html And for the 710: http://www.steves-digicams.com/2006_reviews/a710_pg5. html They cost the exact same, and I can say that they have the same important controls and the quality of the image itself (including in low light). They are also both too great for getting extra points for installation in your shirt pocket. And so, the zoom starts at 35mm – a little more would be nice, but again: no bonus points for either model. The differences are that with the 640 you get 3 extra mega-pixels and turn over a television screen vs zoom and the 710. The swivel screen is nice but the extra megapixels are useless – the target will become the bottleneck for the resolution: you need professional-quality glass to resolve 10 MP. In 710, the ability to bring closer together with IS is very nice. You might miss the image stabilization on the A640 and maximum performance, but the A710 IS, without to be terrible. For me, the tilting screen is more useful than the extra zoom. That would have the A640. (Both cameras look like fun.) Oh, please note manual that the characteristics of these cameras are not enough to make "professional" results. For that, you really need a (digital) SLR (response faster, bigger viewfinder, more control over depth of field, the ability to use the lens for the job, better low light, …)
