Polaroid Film Back

Polaroid Film Back
My polaroid camera is taking more time to take pictures? Please help!?

I bought a polaroid camera (autofocus 660) Online back in February, and since then have only bought two packs of film. I'm up to the second film pack with three images from left to take. Just a couple of days, I was taking a photo and was taking longer to capture. It usually takes about 8-10 seconds to take, but now I'm finding more than 10 seconds to take. Today, I was trying to take a picture and a red light usually appears when looking through the viewfinder, but did not. Nor are such buzz it usually makes when taking a picture. The image is not taken. The film expired in September last year, so could this have something to do with the battery dying out, or is there something wrong with my camera?

The batteries that power the camera are in the package film, yes, they are probably dead or dying. Polaroid snapshot was suspended in October 2008. Hope that helps!
