Sony Case Cybershot
Sony Cybershot DSC-P200 7.2 megapixel camera question ….?

I had my camera for almost 2 years and I love it. Recently, however, was something wrong with the lens. When you turn off the camera, the lens retracts and extends 3-4 times and then turns off (lens retracts when turned off). The battery is fully charged. I even tried taking the battery out and holding the power button for 30 seconds to reset the camera (as instructed by Sony). I never dropped the camera. Always in a case when not in use. Does anyone else have any ideas on what may be causing this? Will eventually be considered for repair. Has anyone else had this problem with this particular camera?

The DSC-P200 was released in 2005, making it a model obsolete. Unfortunately, the repairs to the lens of a camera are quite expensive, and buying a new brand is often the cheapest alternative … so make sure to obtain a first estimate of repair. A new camera, of course, have newer technology and most likely, better image quality and features.
